BHSS Awards Day 2009
With the theme, “Igniting Our Olympic Spirit” Balestierians were all fired up on the 17th of April. The special occasion was graced by the Guest-of-Honour, Associate Professor Nicholas Aplin, Head of Olympic Studies – Singapore Olympic Academy.

Cultural Immersion Programme
19 Balesterians (15 Chinese, 2 Muslims, 1 Indian, 1 Sikh) were transported out of their comfort zone to be immersed in an environment that is similar and yet different from their ‘youthful world’ of Singapore. The students were put through a gruelling yet challenging programme where they were engaged in a spectrum of activities.

NE Experience
Through collaboration between the NE Dept, Mother Tongue Dept and Parents we aim to develop pupils’ character and impart knowledge through activities that instill school values and SEL competencies, and the infusion of the NE message of preserving racial and religious harmony.(read more) |

Batam CIP Trip
Twelve students and three teachers embarked on a CIP trip to Batam from 12 to 14 June 2008.The objective was to increase pupils’ knowledge of other countries and raise their awareness of the lifestyles and value systems of people of other countries. (read more) |

Overseas Exchange Programme
Balestier Hill Secondary School and Board of Education Mihara City, Japan started a unique cultural exchange programme 13 years ago. This exchange programme has provided many Balestierians and Japanese students opportunities to understand each other's culture and traditions. (read more) |
